What is Origano Strong?
Origano Strong are wild oregano oil capsules – origano capsules, or wild oregano oil in capsules (often searched for as oregano oil capsules or origano tablets; Serbian: “origano kapsule”). They contain organic wild oregano oil (Origanum minutiflorum) mixed with organic, cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil and sealed in a soft gelatin (softgel) capsule. The product was formerly called Origanol Strong; the composition is the same.
It is intended for anyone who finds it hard to take wild oregano oil drops: the capsule is swallowed with a glass of water, so there is no burning, stinging or oily taste in the mouth. One capsule contains 25 mg of oil, which is roughly equivalent to one drop of wild oregano oil. The capsules are also practical for travel and work – your wild oregano oil is always at hand.
What is carvacrol?
Carvacrol is a monoterpene phenol and, together with thymol, the main active compound of wild oregano. According to numerous studies, carvacrol is what gives the oil its antibacterial action: it damages the membrane of the bacterial cell and disrupts its respiration, so the cell dies. The oil in Origano Strong capsules contains at least 80% carvacrol.
Oregano capsules or wild oregano oil – which to choose?
Both products contain organic wild oregano oil of the same species (Origanum minutiflorum). They differ in form, dosage and taste:

What are wild oregano oil capsules used for?
Origano Strong capsules are used in the same way as wild oregano oil, just without the burning taste:
- to strengthen immunity – especially in autumn and winter, during the cold and flu season;
- for bacterial and fungal infections – as natural support, e.g. with Candida, E. coli, H. pylori and urinary tract infections;
- for a sensitive stomach – when oil drops burn or cause discomfort.

How to take oregano capsules – use and dosage
Adults and children over 12
1 softgel capsule 3 times a day, after meals, with a glass of water, for 10–20 days.
Children over 6
1 softgel capsule 2 times a day, after meals, with a glass of water, for 7 days.
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. If you need a stronger dose, inhalation or use on the skin, choose wild oregano oil.
Contraindications and side effects: who should not use them
Origano Strong capsules are not recommended for:
- pregnant and breastfeeding women;
- children under 6 years of age;
- people who are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients;
- people with anemia, a blood clotting disorder, a swallowing disorder, severe hypertension or serious liver or kidney damage;
- people on anticoagulant therapy (blood-thinning medicines).
Possible side effects: slower absorption of iron from the intestine, a briefly faster pulse and palpitations (in people sensitive to spicy food), a stinging or burning sensation in the mouth and stomach, heavier menstrual bleeding.
