I am suffering from candida. Does it really help and how is it used?”2024-12-24T21:33:49+01:00

Oregano oil, especially that which contains a high percentage of carvacrol, is effective against a wide range of bacteria and fungi, including candida. You can take it orally (1–2 drops diluted in a teaspoon of olive or other base oil, 2–3 times a day) or use it topically, but always with adequate dilution. We recommend consulting a doctor or pharmacist before starting use, especially if you have any chronic condition or are taking medication.

Can I take wild oregano oil at the same time as an antibiotic?2026-10-05T16:38:41+02:00

Wild oregano oil can be taken at the same time as an antibiotic. In laboratory (in vitro) studies, oregano oil and its main constituents, carvacrol and thymol, act synergistically or additively with many antibiotics – together they work more strongly than each one alone – while weakening of the antibiotic’s effect is rare.

According to the experience of our users, taking antibiotics and wild oregano oil at the same time works well, but it is best to consult a doctor or pharmacist before you start taking them together. They can advise you based on your state of health and the therapy you are using.

How should I take wild oregano oil and in what dose?2026-10-05T16:38:41+02:00

According to the official instructions:
It is used for ten days in one month: 3×2 drops a day. The oil is taken after a meal, diluted in a teaspoon of edible oil (sunflower, olive, coconut, linseed…).

For children over 6 years of age:
The treatment should preferably last 10-14 days, as follows: 2-3×1 drop a day. The oil is taken after a meal, diluted in a teaspoon of edible oil. Mix the contents well and swallow quickly, without holding it in your mouth. A glass of cold water is recommended afterwards.

We strongly recommend mixing it with olive oil, mainly because olive oil largely neutralizes the pungency of oregano oil, and it also coats and protects the stomach.

The method of use in the instructions is somewhat different from what we recommend based on the experience of many users. The maximum amount of oil during the day is 12 drops. Because the oil is very strong, most infections are resolved with 9 drops of oregano oil a day. We usually advise a three-week application as follows: first week 3 x 1 drop, second week 3 x 2 drops and third week 3 x 3 drops a day.

If you follow the instructions, you can’t go wrong.

We advise you to consult a doctor or pharmacist before use, especially if you have a chronic illness or are taking medication.

Can black cumin oil help with recovery after surgery or radiotherapy?2026-10-05T16:38:42+02:00

Yes, black cumin oil can help the body recover after surgery and radiotherapy, as it alleviates side effects and supports the immune system.

Below is a summary of a scientific paper from this page

A short summary of the key findings of the paper on the antitumor activity of black cumin seeds (Nigella sativa):

Active compounds: Compounds such as thymoquinone, dithymoquinone, thymohydroquinone and thymol are highlighted and are considered most responsible for the antitumor activity. Thymoquinone (TQ) stands out in particular, showing strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity.
Mechanisms of action: Black cumin extract affects:
Inhibition of tumor cell growth by inhibiting their proliferation.
Induction of apoptosis (programmed cell death), whereby malignant cells are destroyed without damaging healthy tissue.
Reduction of inflammation, which often accompanies cancer processes, thereby helping to slow tumor growth.
Research results: In several experimental models (cell cultures and animals), treatment with Nigella sativa extract has been shown to cause:
Significant slowing or halting of tumor development.
Improvement of the body’s immune response.
Possible use: Because of its broad spectrum of action, black cumin extract is considered a complementary therapy in the treatment of various types of cancer. It is of particular interest because of its relatively low toxicity and the possibility of combining it with standard anticancer drugs.
In short, black cumin (Nigella sativa) shows promising antitumor activity through several mechanisms, and its use could be beneficial for both preventive and therapeutic purposes, while more detailed research would determine the best forms and doses of supplements.

From what age can children take wild oregano oil?2026-10-05T16:38:42+02:00

The use of oregano oil is definitely not recommended for children under 6 years of age, while children over 6 must be very careful.

Method of use for children over 6 years of age:

Our advice: by your own example, show the child how to quickly swallow the oil diluted in a teaspoon of olive oil. Have a glass of cold water ready in advance. We advise you to consult a pediatrician.

Probotanic checks the quality of the oil in every production batch, and we are committed to offering oil of the highest quality.
